Both the brand and the blend are the creation of Nelson Alfonso, a Cuban artist who is well-known in the cigar world for doing the artwork and packaging for the Cohiba Behike brand. The Atabey has a pleasing floral base that is accented with sweet and salty notes. This is a limited-release luxury cigar that deserves a special place in your humidor. Atabey was the supreme deity of the Taino Indians, who are considered the indigenous people of most of the Caribbean Islands.
